Morning girls
Friday at last, it's been a week and a half for me but I won't bore you with the details. Suffice to say 2012 hasn't got off to a good start so am hoping February brings better things.
Today the challenge on Totally Papercrafts is
PEARLS and LACE
and our sponsor is Emma
I thought I'd try something a wee bit different this week so decided to alter a candle rather than make a card.
Not too shabby for my first attempt is it?
I wish I could get a better pic but no matter what I try I just can't indoors. I've tried every setting under the sun but it's never crisp and sharp. To say it's doing me head in is an understatement.
I didn't notice that I'd moved the candle from the centre of the holder either whilst moving it around so slapped wrist for that too!!! I need to learn to concentrate lol
Anyway, the papers are scraps from me box so I've no clue what they are. Once I'd wrapped them and the lace around the candle I cut two hearts from the same papers, added a little padlock (key to my heart get it?) and added this using plain pins to secure it in place. The gorgeous lace and pins are from the candy I won from Mandy a while back. Flowers and charm are from me stash.
So, do pop over to the challenge blog, the other girls have made some gorgeous cards to help get the creative juices flowing, play along too if ya like:)
Have a smashing weekend
