Floral Delight

Hi Everyone
I'm trying to keep to my word and do a wee bit more blogging than I did last year.  Hasn't Facebook, Instagram and the like really taken over from blogger.  Not to mention the horrid changes they've made on here.  It really is an effort for me now

Anyway, enough of the moaning. Let's get onto my card for today.  I thought I would do Mother's Day, just because .......

 stamps  Sparkle n Sprinkle
Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils - Florales - Rose Red
Sarah's Signature Collection Floral Delights Ornate Trellis
sentiment- made on pc

I love how this turned out.  It's not often I make a card that doesn't have 'a person' on it but there's a first for everything isn't there.
Thanks for popping in.  Happy Crafting

mellow yellow

Morning girls
Ten more days to go in this glorious sunshine:)  I sooooooooo love out little bit of Turkey that I really don't want to come home.  I could happily sit on the terrace colouring away every day.

Anyway I've another card from Meljen's Designs for you this morning.  I've really enjoyed my guest design spot with them.  It's always nice to use new images isn't it?

As you can see I've gone CAS with this.  The sunflower is so bright and cheery I decided that adding coloured papers and embellies would distract from it totally so just used a Marianne Design die to frame it and a sentiment from Sparkle n Sprinkle and left it at that.
Hope you like it:)

It's nice now though albeit a bit cold but at least it's dry.
I've a birthday card to show you today.  A wee change from all the Christmas cards I've been doing recently.  I'm sick of the sight of them now:(

winter magic

Hi girls
I've been our making a wee start on my Christmas shopping today.  It's been so nice here for a change that I thought I'd get into town for a browse around rather than being couped up in my craft room all day.  It'll be soon enough that I want to hibernate lol
I managed to get a couple of bits and pieces but nothing really shouted 'buy me' for either of the kids but I did get a nice pack of 8x8 scalloped cards and envies along with some gems in Hobbycraft for lil old me!!
I don't know about you but it's not my favourite shop for crafty goodies.  They don't stock enough to give you a good choice and the one here has hardly any papers at all.  I'd a look at their very limited choice of dies too and none of them tickled me fancy either so most of me crafty money stayed in me purse:(
Anyway this is a card I made yesterday, it's another commission.  The last one of an order of four so I'll get them all parceled up tonight ready to send out.

ingredients
image - Sassy Cheryl  (I love her snowmen)
papers - Cart-Us
sentiment - Sparkle n Sprinkle

So, now I'm off to get started on next weeks DT cards.  I've a busy schedulle for this week although there won't be a lot to show until later so no Facebook or Pinterest for me tonight:)

toastin' man

Morning girls
Here we are at Friday already.  This week just seems to have flown by, I just never seemed to have enough hours in the day to get done what was needed or have much time left to craft either.  I was hoping to get in front with some of my DT work but hey ho that didn't happen either.  So guess who;s going to need to get her finger out over the weekend.
So, this is me first post of the day and it's for our new challenge over on Totally Papercrafts.

what!!! no stamps

Morning girls
Gosh what's this weather like.  We've the central heating on and here we are 1st of July.  It's enough to sicken your chicken as me old Granny used to say.  How you sicken a chicken I've no idea though lol

Anyway, being as it's the 1st of the month today it's time for a new challenge over on Michelflo Monthly.
I'm the hostess with the mostest this month so, hoping that we'd have some nice summery weather I went with

HAPPY BLOOMING BIRTHDAY
just wait till you see the prize for this one ladies.
K & Co Mira collection 8x8 scrapbook, 12 x 12 speciality paper pad, and tons of lush matching embellies
PLUS
your choice of three digital images from LEJ Designs

So, as you can gather by the title of me post I've not stamped for this card but used my Cheery Lynn stacking flower.  I think it's number five.

Papers are First Edition, brad is My Minds Eye, sentiment is Sparkle and Sprinkle, the ribbon, pearls and charm are all from me stash.
So, there's my 'Happy Blooming Birthday' card girls.  I do hope you'll play along but remember there in only one entrant per person to keep it nice and fair.

Two for the boys

Hi girls
I've two cards for you this morning.  I'm being a lazy git and adding both my DT cards to the one post.

Over on Polka Doodles this week we're going all
monochromatic
...so, pick one colour hue and use as many shades of it as you like:)  Simples!!

I've gone for plain and simple this week.

The papers are from the new Sugar Plum Daisy CD , the banner and image are from Not for Girls CD.  How cool is this little fella with his shades?
Coloured with prisma pencils which I blended with mineral spirits and as it's CAS I only added a few little dew drops to embellish.
Do pop over to the challenge blog for buckets of inspiration from my teamies and of course we'd love it if you played along too.
challenges for this one:

This next one is my Totally Papercrafts card and this week our theme is..

NO PESKY GIRLS

I needed a card for my cousins wee one who will be two next month so I killed two birds with one stone.  Don't you just love it when things work out for you:)

Again I've used papers from the  Not for Girls CD from Polka Doodles.  This image from Sparkle n Sprinkle is perfect for him too.  He loves nothing more than being at the allotment with his Dad getting stuck in there with his own wee plastic tools.  A real boy's boy already lol
challenges:

The Craft Place - one for the boys
Crafty Cardmakers - one for the boys

it'll be all white on the night

Morning girls
Another weekend nearer me hols:)  Almost two weeks and counting down.  I can't wait for some sun, sea and relaxation.  We're off to our little piece of paradise in Turkey for a fortnight.  I sooooooooo wish it was longer but him that earns the money needs to get back to work lol
Anyway, today we have a new challenge for you over on Totally Papercrafts and our hostess with the mostest Cathy has decided our theme for this week.

you may use colour on your image though.

Our sponsor for this week is -

and the lucky winner will receive a $25 gift voucher to their store.  Please remember though this does not include shipping.
Anyway here is me card.

There's not alot to tell about this one really.  All white cardstock some run through me cuttlebug, others scored, cut with Marianne Design dies and me cricut.  Then a stamped sentiment from Sparkle n Sprinkle and some pearls to finish.

something new to me

Hi girls
I was having a wee nosey over on Less is More last night.  I always have a look but just never seem to have enough time to enter the challenge.  Anyway this week some of the cards on there really had me intrigued so let me explain why.
The challenge is for a one layer card but you must add some doodling.
Anyway Mandi and quite a few of the entrants had used a technique previously unknown to me
Zentangle.   There is a blog dedicated to it if you'd like a looksee.  Wow I'm in awe!!  Why have I never heard of this before?
Of course I had to have a play.

I began by stamping the flower part off the page and got to work with my fine liner.
Around thirty minutes later this is the result.  I'm fair chuffed with it too.
This is nothing compared to some of the entrants though so if, like me, you haven't a clue then just go nosey and be prepared to be amazed.  Oh the stamps are from Sparkle n Sprinkle.
Hun fun

Two very quick cards

Evening girls
I'd to rustle up two mega quick  get well cards this afternoon.
My Mums poor neighbour just 75 years young was mauled by a vicious dog the day before yesterday.
She was out for a wee stroll with her tiny little dog when this brute attacked both of them.
She seen it approaching and managed to pick her dog up yet the thing pounced and tore her little dog from her arms anyway.  Trying to save her little pooch she was very, very badly bitten to the extent that she'd to have operations on both her hands yesterday.  The  top of the index finger on her right hand had the flesh almost all torn off and the bone exposed.  Her left hand, which she thought was less badly damaged turned out to be the worst of them both.  The surgeon said one more bite and they wouldn't have been able to save the hand as there are so many puncture wounds!!
I can't begin to imagine how terrified she must have been yet her instinct was to save her little dog.
On top of all the trauma she is now faced with a massive vets bill as her little Cookie isn't insured.  Thankfully the vet did wonderful work and managed to save her life too although it will be another few days before she is out of the woods and able to come home.
To say I'm disgusted by this is an understatement.  I love dogs, always have but I can't condone irresponsible owners of these mastiff breed dogs.  They know they're vicious, so why have them?  Thankfully the brute is no more as it was put to sleep and the owner charged.  I hope he get's locked up and the key thrown away!!
Anyway,  here are me two quick cards

This one using Dovecraft papers and a Papermania stamp.  Other bits and bobs from me stash and a computer generated sentiment

On this one I've used a sentiment stamp from Sparkle n Sprinkle, some gorgeous MME papers and a K & Co die cut flower available from Mishelflo
So, that's my sorry tale girls.  Please keep Connie and her little furry companion in your prayers tonight

dance like no one is watching

Hi girls
I've not posted for over a week and here I am with two cards in one day.  My son is still not great so am looking after him and not getting much time for crafting.  Mr Mojo is on the run anyway so it don't matter much but I did manage, by the skin of my teeth, to get my Totally Papercrafts dt card done.
Our theme this week is
SONG AND DANCE
sponsored by

and he's me effort

Excuse the rubbish pic, I'd to take this indoors due to our horrible weather so it's a bit on the dark side.
Anyway, this little ballerina and her ballet slippers are from Sparkle n Sprinkle.  I've coloured her with copics, the intention was to add some stickles to her tutu but guess who forgot??  The papers I found in me bits box but I think they're DCWV.  Pearls from Inky Impressions, ribbon and flowers from me stash.
Remember to pop over to the challenge blog for bucket loads of inspiration.  Although some of me teamies haven't been able to get their cards on this week those that have have done a fabulous job.
Right, I've a hundred and one things to get done this morning, so toodle pip and thanks for stopping by.

S.W.A.K.

Hi girls
Just before Christmas Heather Valentine from the  Scrapbook Stamp Society contacted me asking if I'd be interested in showing some of their digital stamps on me blog.

So after having a little snoop around I said yes!!
I tell you girls, there's something for everyone over there.  Digital, rubber, dies, fabric block etc etc.

Today there is a new challenge starting over on the challenge blog.  Yes, they have a challenge too, so hopefully play along with our hearts and flowers theme.
None of their stamps or digi's?  Not a problem girls, run over to the freebies page and help yourself

So, let me introduce you to Hunny Bunny

How cute is she?  I just adore the little bunny sitting on her head, what a cutie!!

I've coloured her up with my usual copic markers, papers are from Polka Doodles Sugar Birdie Cd,  the fab sentiment is from Sparkle n Sprinkle  and all the other bits and bobs are from me stash.
So, there you have it girls, please pop over and join the fun,.

what a swing

Morning girls
It's time for our first challenge of 2012 over on Totally Papercrafts.
The girls and I are really looking forward to another year of fun filled challenges and are hoping you'll show us as much support as you did last year.
Mel has worked like a trojan to bring you lots of new sponsors, of course our regulars will still be there too but it's always nice to have more isn't it?

Since like us your most probably all Christmas carded out we've a fabulous sketch for you this week.
Didn't our Sue do a great job?

It was my Dad's birthday yesterday so I killed two birds with one stone.

He loves golf so this stamp from Sparkle n Sprinkle was just the job as were the papers from Polka Doodles Not for Girls CD.  There's not a lot else to tell about this really apart from it's coloured with copics and the little hinges were cut using my cricut.  I left off the embellies, one the papers are busy and two it's a male card.
Anyway, that's my effort.  I do hope you find time to play along.
Thanks for stopping by
