Grateful Gloria

Hello Everyone
It's my turn to host the Art by Miran blog this morning and I've something a little different for you.  Well for me anyway, it not often I make something other than a card

This is  Grateful Gloria one of the latest girls available from Whimsy Stamps
 Isn't she sweet?

I started out with a little wooden heart which I covered with some lovely First Editon Christmas papers.   The stamp I coloured with copics and once it was dry I very gently dampened the back and rubbed as much of the paper off as possible without damaging the image.  I then decoupaged this onto the heart and added three coats of modge podge.
A little braid round the edges, a ribbon and a few glitter dots finished it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great weekend

Meet The Snowys

Hello there
Long time, no post once again.
First off, we had our last holiday this year to our second home in our beloved Turkey.  Then Mum decided she needed her three bedrooms decorated.  Yes three!!!!  So, as you can imagine I have been rather busy of late.
I do have some great news though.  Well two lots actually.
Firstly I am super excited to tell you that I have been accepted onto the Crafters Companion Design Team.  Eeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Secondly, at long last Gayle of Teddy Bo is drawing once again and it is a card with one of her new images that I have to show you today.

snowkissed

Good morning  Girls
It's my turn to host the Artbymiran blog today so I do hope you like my little bit of inspiration.
I love the traditional reds and greens for Christmas but thought I'd play around a wee bit with some non traditional colours.  Plus I've had these papers from many Christmases ago, so they are getting used this year by hook or by crook.

So now that I've shown you me card I've a question for you.  Who has stared their Christmas shopping? I've not a lot of people to buy for but haven't even thought about it yet.  Best get my thinking cap on and make a start soon or I'll be buying in the Boxing Day sales lol

all done in

Morning girls
Only a few more day then it'll all be over.  I'm more or less sorted thankfully.  Just the remainder of the food shop and that's it.  It'll be a very quiet one for us this year.  Just hubby, me and our daughter as our son has taken himself off to Thailand for three weeks.  Me thinks he's got the right idea too, get away from it all!!

It's time for a new three (3) week challenge  with The Paper Shelter  as us DT girlies are having a wee Christmas and New Year break :)
Not bad eh, just get a job and the a holiday lol

A nice easy theme too

o'er Santa's been

Morning girls
I hope you all stayed safe during these terrible winds that have been blowing a a right old hoolie throughout most of the country.  It's been horrendous hasn't it?  Fingers crossed they've blown themselves out now and we've just the white stuff left.  Not that there's been much of that here, a few wee flurries, nothing to worry about really.

Anyway, I've been super busy with my cards lately, so much so that the majority of them have gone without so much as a pic :(
..... but I did manage to capture a few.

I loved how this one turned out:)   It's nice to work with something other than the traditonal reds and greens of Christmas.
I'm off to finish decorating my tree.  I did start last night but it's a huge bugger and I was dog tired so left it.  Every year I say I'm going to get a smaller one, then the moaning starts from DD and hubby.  Maybe if they helped put it up.......
Anyway, have a smashing weekend

One image, three cards

Hi girls
Apologies for the lack of visits recently but like all of you at this time of  year I'm super busy so to save time and get the orders out I sat the other night and coloured three of the same image in sort of the same colour hues then got to work last night and today to get them onto cards.

What's in the sack?

Morning girls
...from a dark, dull, dreary Glasgow.  Winter is here!!  Autumn seems to have passed us by altogether, no nice crisp mornings, just slap bang freezing rain and winds with a chill factor that feels like zero degrees:(  I'm going to hibernate in me little craft room all weekend and keep warm and snug.
I may pop out on Saturday to watch that rubbish that is the X Factor though.  Fingers crossed that horrid Rylan with all his dramatics gets the boot this week.
Then again since I won the lovely Jacqui's candy I may just spend the day drooling over on Wild Orchid crafts and fill me basket.  Thanks so much Jacqui I'll enjoy spending:)
So onto my card for the day.  It's for the new challenge on Totally Papercrafts and the theme this week is

CHRISTMAS - 9 WEEKS AND COUNTING

Is it really that close??  Eekkk I'd better get the shopping started. I've not a thing in yet:(

Our sponsor for this week is
and here's my card
No, this is not for my hubby.  It's actually a commission so I killed two birds with one stone as the deets were to make it a 'wee bit raunchy'

ingredients:
image - Kenny K
papers - First Edition
snowflake - Whimsy
border - Ribbons and Rosettes cart
ponsiettas - Joys of the Season cart
brad - WOC
stickles and white glitter to her cuffs
seeds beads and ribbon from me stash

I coloured her up with Flex markers.  The jury is till out on these I'm afraid.  I do like the ease of colouring with them but I don't find they blend as well as the copics and I find they have a tendancy to bleed but I shall keep at it with them.  Practice makes perfect as they say!
So, there's my effort for this week girls.  Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog, especially if you played along last week.  You could be the lucky winner of those fab digi's from Redonkulas:)
Happy crafting and have a smashing weekend.

what!!! no stamps

Morning girls
Gosh what's this weather like.  We've the central heating on and here we are 1st of July.  It's enough to sicken your chicken as me old Granny used to say.  How you sicken a chicken I've no idea though lol

Anyway, being as it's the 1st of the month today it's time for a new challenge over on Michelflo Monthly.
I'm the hostess with the mostest this month so, hoping that we'd have some nice summery weather I went with

just wait till you see the prize for this one ladies.

So, there's my 'Happy Blooming Birthday' card girls.  I do hope you'll play along but remember there in only one entrant per person to keep it nice and fair.

This is what you'd get!!!
Girls this image really tickled me when I came across it the other day.  I just knew it was perfect for my hubby's Father's Day card from our daughter.  I'm glad to say he has a wicked sense of humour so got the joke.  Joanna thought it was hilarious too so all is well)
Hopefully this doesn't offend any of you:)

The image is from Redonkulous Designs, a new company to me but Sheryl has some fab digi's so go check her out.  I've coloured with copics and prisma pencils.  Papers are from First Edition and the brads are from me stash.  The sentiment I made on the PC.

Happy Monday:)

It's my turn to post over on Inky Inspirational blog this morning and  I was sooooooooo hoping my new package would've arrived before now but alas Mr Postie is not playing nice at the moment:(  So I've used the gorgeous little Lilli and her chalkboard for my card.

I just love all of these cuties but I must admit to having a little soft spot for Lilli.
As always I've coloured with copics.  DP's are First Edition and the little pearls are also

just hovering...

Hi girls
This is my second post of the morning so please scroll down for my Polka Doodles card and info for the challenge this week.
It's also time for a new challenge over on Totally Papercrafts and our hostess with the mostest  this week is Wendy  who choose our theme of

THINGS WITH WINGS

We're also welcoming two new girls this week.  So please give a warm welcome to

Our sponsor this week is the lovely Teri of

...and the lucky winner will receive a $10 gift cert to her store.

So here's my effort using her  Butterfly  and Thistle  image.  Well being Scottish I couldn't really choose anything else could I?

I decided on a tag this week for a change so reached for my First Edition papers to start off with.  Am getting a bit frustrated with the cards at the moment for some reason.  Anyway, I've coloured with copics, prisma pencils and stickles although the fab sparkle isn't showing too well in the pic.  You can blame the dull Scottish weather for that one.
A couple of die cuts, a flower, a little jigsaw piece which I stamped the sentiment on, ribbon and a few gems finish it off.  Oh and lots of ink around the edges:)
So, there ya go.  Please pop over to the challenge blog for bucket loads on inspiration and of course to welcome the new girls.  Don't forget to play along too.
Have a smashing weekend

Smile

Morning girls
It's another lovely bright one here in Glasgow but the wind still has a chill to it.  I'm not complaining though it's just so nice to get up in the morning to something other than the cold and rain.  Hopefully if we get more of the same over the weekend we'll get started on a spring clean of the garden which is in a real sorry old state at the moment.
So onto my card today which is for the new challenge starting over on Totally Papercrafts.

HUMOUR
and our sponsor this week is

I just had to use one of me Bugaboo images for my card this week.  They're  perfect for this theme and who better than Stella eh?

Papers are First Edition, image coloured with copics, lace from my stash, Marianne Designs
and Spellbinders dies.
So there's my effort girls.  Do pop over to the challenge blog and have a little giggle with your morning cuppa.
