Grateful Gloria

Hello Everyone
It's my turn to host the Art by Miran blog this morning and I've something a little different for you.  Well for me anyway, it not often I make something other than a card

This is  Grateful Gloria one of the latest girls available from Whimsy Stamps.
 Isn't she sweet?

I started out with a little wooden heart which I covered with some lovely First Editon Christmas papers.   The stamp I coloured with copics and once it was dry I very gently dampened the back and rubbed as much of the paper off as possible without damaging the image.  I then decoupaged this onto the heart and added three coats of modge podge.
A little braid round the edges, a ribbon and a few glitter dots finished it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great weekend

Cool Stuff Inside

Hello Everyone

Oh my goodness!!!
Have you seen the new rubber release over on Whimsy Stamps?
I absolutely couldn't wait to colour this cutie up

This gorgeous pair are  Ice Cream Love available now from Whimsy Stamps
coloured with copics and prisma pencils
papers are from Lidl
ice cream cornet - cricut
sentiment - Sparkle n Sprinkle
 Doily Corners

As you can see I have kept this a bit on the CAS side as both the stamp and sentiment are huge so I really would have lost them under too many embellishments.  Plus it's nice now and again to keep it simple isn't it?
Thanks for popping in.
Have a great, crafty weekend

day dreamin'

Morning girls

It's another cold one here but thank goodness we've non of the white stuff so far.  I'm hoping it stays that way too.  There's nothing worse than trudging through the streets of sludge or worse still sliding your way to the shops when it's iced over.  Why oh why don't I drive lol

My card today is for Whimsy Inspirations challenge

This week we'd love to see

FANCY EDGES

Now that's a nice easy one so hopefully you'll find the time to play along

ingredients

papers - Sherry k Designs
brads and pin  - Wild Orchid Crafts
sentiment - Sparkle n Sprinkle
flowers from stash
 dies - Marianne Designs

I'm keeping this short and sweet this morning as I've a few commissions to get out over the next day or so, so best crack on.  Housework first then hopefully an afternoon of colouring should set me on the right road.

Morning girls
I've something different, well for me anyway, to show you this today.

I've decided I'm going to make some things other than cards this year and first on my list is a calendar or two which I can use as gifts come next Christmas. That's the plan anyway:)

So since the new challenge over on Crafty Sentiments Designs today is WINTER FUN I thought I'd get a page done.  November 2014 lol.  Nothing like getting ahead is there?

It's brass monkey weather here just now.  Freezing rain on top of the snow has left it very slippery underfoot not to mention bitterly cold and to crown it all I've a stinking cold to boot!!! BAH HUMBUG!!!

It's a new challenge over on Whimsy Inspirations today and it's perfect for all those last minute Christmas makes.  That's unless you've been super organised and have all your cards done lol

My Time to Craft - snowmen

snow much fun

Morning girls
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr it's bleedin' freezing!!!!  I'm sat here with a nice warm cuppa and could be tempted not to move too far from the house today.  I hate the winter:(

I'll get right on to today's card for the new challenge over on Crafty Sentiments Designs.
This fortnight it's all about SNOWMEN
I must say that this is probably my favourite thing to see on a Christmas card.  I just love them!!

So using this gorgeous guy ' Snowman Birdhouse was an absolute pleasure for me.

I've kept this card very plain and simple.  No backing papers, just some white card which I embossed for a bit of texture and a doohicky snowflake die which I halved and used to adorn the top corner.

Coloured with copics as always, some gorgeous Christmas ribbon which I won a week or two ago in a Craft Ribbons challenge and a few wee red gems complete the card.  Oh and a little stickles over the snowflakes:)

So, there's my little bit of inspiration for you girls.  Don't forget to play along, I'm sure you all have a snowman lurking somewhere in your stash.

I decided to alter a candle using this beautiful Christmas Cardinal by Stamp Art Design.

I then added a couple of poinsetta and some holly leaves which I cut with my cricut.  A ribbon and bow finished it off.
