Hopefully everyone's had a fab weekend and is ready to get stuck into some crafting. I hope so as we've a smashing challenge for you on Karen's Doodle's this week. It's still the lovely Nancy who is hosting and she'd love you to make a little gift box.
Now, it doesn't need to be for Christmas like mine, any occassion will do but please make sure you include one of Karen's fantastic images available from her web store
I decided to make a cake box, then forgot to buy a bleedin' cake, so cookies had to do or I'd not have had this post done and dusted in time for the challenge. I've used one of Karen's latest Christmas images Joy, but no matter how I photographed the box I couldn't get a decent shot of him so I hope you'll take my word for it that he's cute as a button.
I cut the box using my cricut, then I made some matts with red cardstock and this gorgeous sweetie paper from Creative Cottage and added a border round the bottom which I cute with my Firskars snowflake punch. Then after resizing the image to fit a 2 inch circle punch, (yes you read it right 2 inches!!!!) I coloured him with copic markers and attached it to a tag which I then pop dotted onto the box. Finally I added me cookies, job done!!
Don't forget to visit my teamies too girls, there are some super cute little boxes out there this morning and ofcourse we'd love it if you played along.
