it's a vintage affair

Morning girls
It's that time of the week again where we announce a nice new challenge on Polka Doodles.
Fliss is our hostess with the mostest this week and she has chosen ...

VINTAGE/SHABBY CHIC

We're sponsored this week by Marianne Designs so there will be some really nice goodies for the winner.

So, how did I achieve this look then?  Well first off I printed the papers from the Not for Girls CD and distressed them to within an inch of their lives by scratching and inking the edges.  I then cut the flowers using  two  of Marianne's  dies and gave them the same treatment plus a good dose of glimmer mist.  The image is from our new CD Sugarplum Daisy and I've coloured it up with copics and a little glitter on her wings.  The sentiment is from the Fairy Flutterfly Bevvieboo stamp.  Once I'd the card put together I carefully 'spilled' some water colour paint on it and also gave it a good dollop of acrylic in places too.  When all that was dried I added the pearls.  Whew!!!
So, if your thing is vintage or shabby chic you really must go visit the challenge blog for bucket loads of inspiration from my teamies and don't forget to play along.
Have a great weekend

  12. This is gorgeous Anne. I am not sure if I could stop my hubby having a heart attack if I started spraying with inks as I am lethal with the sprays. They coat the walls. Lol!!!
