Hello again:)
T'is me with my Totally Papercrafts card to show you. Our hostess with the mostest this week is Cathy
and she's chosen the theme of
LET IT SNOW
Our sponsor for this week is the lovely Mandi
I'm sure loads of you will want to play along for some gorgeous Stampin Up goodies:)
Once again excuse the rubbish pic. It's been horrendous here this week. Wet, dreary and dismal with very little light. So as well as not being able to get outside for a decent pic the flash seemed to bounce right off all the glitter and glitz on me lovely First Edition papers.
I've killed two birds with one stone with this card. The Christmas commissions are coming in thick and fast so to save some time I've used this one for our challenge this week. I think there may be a few more like that too but needs must and all that eh?
The image as I'm sure you already know is from Saturated Canary. I love these, bang up to date and modern so perfect for a young or not so young card. I've coloured as always with copic markers, the sentiment was pc generated and I've embellished with a little heart and my new Whimsy snowflake die and some bling. Do any of you have this die? It was a bugger to cut. I almost lost the will to live lol It won't touch card and even 120gms paper was a nightmare. I won't be using it much, it's too much of a darn nuisance:( More money wasted!!!
Anyway, I'd best get a move on. the gloss paint is waiting for me.
Have a smashing weekend

ReplyDeleteSuper card Anne. The heart and the snowflakes are great - love how you used them both on the same card.

Well the card turned out beautiful. So sorry you had so much trouble with the beautiful snowflake. I had a Sissix swirl die that I ended up returning because I couldn't get it to cut clean. Try cutting some aluminum foil with the die to see if it sharpens the blades. Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteFantastic card Anne, those snowflakes are gorgeous!! Joey x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Anne :-) the snowflakes are the nicest I have ever seen !! so delicate and fab !! I read somewhere ( I think it was our Caroline's blog) to use baking parchment paper, ,, or something ,,, ask her ,,,,to make it easier to release die cuts ,,, :-) I hope you find a solution cos it would be a shame not to use this ,,, it really is lovely :-)

What a gorgeous card you have made, hun!Love the image and the design and stunning snowflakes!x
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, really pretty card hun and those snowflakes are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLike Lols said, I had the same problem, drives you crazy doesn't it? My dies are not as intricate as those, but I put a couple of pieces of baking/greaseproof paper between the die and the card. It wasn't perfect, but it was a lot better!!
