do you know your abc?

It's new challenge day over at The Paper Shelter and the theme for this on is

I'll bet there are more than a few happy Mummy's out there this week.  I remember how difficult it was to keep mine amused for the long summer break.  Of course there will no doubt be a few tears too as the wee munchkins head in for their first ever day :)

I thought I'd make a little bookmark for a change.  It's not often I do anything other than cards so it's nice to do something else now and again.
The papers were scraps from my box as is the ribbon.  I coloured the image which you can find over at The Paper Shelter store with copics and added a little set of pencils which I made from cocktail sticks and a wee bit of script to carry on the theme.
Do play along if you have time and again, time permitting go and see what my lovely teamies have created to inspire you :)

onesie time

Hiya everyone
Are you all enjoying the bank holiday?  We don't get this one here in Scotland so it's a much of a muchness kind of day here.  Hubby and daughter are both at work and I'm home alone :)

I've just found this in me drafts folder.  One I obviously forgot to show you.
I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on!!!

papers- Polka Doodle
doily, brads and pearls from my stash

I must admit I found this a rather strange request.  I mean who likes SHARKS? So I was pleasantly surprised to find this cutie :)  The girl loved it too so that was good too :)
Enjoy the rest of your day

Autumn Annie

Hello Everyone
I don't know about where you are but we can already feel a bit of a nip in the air early mornings and later on at night here in Glasgow.  So I'm sat here snuggled in me fluffy housecoat enjoying my morning cuppa before decide what I'm doing today.  Another cuppa maybe in order first though :)

It's my turn to showcase over on Art by MiRan this morning and as summer has almost up and gone I've chosen to go with some autumnal colours for my card.

papers - Lidl
ribbon- stash

I've kept this very plain as the papers are quite busy, they have a lovely shimmer on those leaves so I didn't want to cover them up too much.  I'll add a sentiment when I know what I'm going to use it for :)
Thanks for stopping by, have a crafty day if you can :)

music feeds the soul

Hello everyone
Jings it's been a windy few days here but nothing compared to what some of you down south have suffered.  I do hope you and your homes are safe and sound.
Today's card is for the new challenge today over at The Paper Shelter.  The theme for this week is

image and papers - Rhythm Everywhere -  The Paper Shelter
sentiment - my own
pearls from me stash

I've gone with the pre printed version for this one.  Veronica really does make it simple for the DT.  Digital stamp, a pre coloured one, pre coloured on a back ground and just that background.  Wow, now if that's not good value I don't know what is!!  Then there's the bonus of not having to colour :)

Have a great day everyone and thanks for stopping by

Creative Blog Hop

 Morning Everyone
I hope you've  had a smashing  weekend and managed to get some crafty time in too.
I am here today with something a little different, well different for me anyway. I'm sure many of you know Cathy of KraftyKoolKat   Well she has invited  me to join in with the Creative Bloggers Hop and of course I said yes.  Well it would be very rude to say no lol
So how does it work?
It's a continuous hop which takes place every Monday with a host of different inspirational bloggers taking part each week .  To be fair I didn't know too much about it.  Since being ill has kept me away from the pc and blogland for so long I really wasn't up to scratch with everything.  Once I'd read a wee bit more about it though I was hooked.  It's a fabby idea and one which I am delighted to take part in.
Thank you so much Cathy for inviting me sweetie and for being such a loyal follower of my blog :)   I really do appreciate every single comment you leave for me and it's lovely to think that my work inspired you enough to think it good enough for this:)
Now for those pesky questions...
1. What am I working on?
Mainly DT work at the moment.  With having more than a month off I'm desperately playing catch up. So nothing new or exciting I'm afraid unless you count practising my colour work.  I recently invested in some Spectrum Noir markers.  Copics they ain't but I will master them eventually but I will confess to ordering more copics last week too!!
2. How does my work differ from others in my genre?
To be honest I don't think it does.  Most of us love our markers, ribbons, lace and die cutting machines so there is a lot of 'same style' cards out there.  I will admit to only working with images and papers which I find inspiring though.  Mr Mojo has been known to go awol if I am required to do something which just doesn't do it for me :(
3. Why do I write/create what I do?
There is a very simple answer to that.
4. How does your writing/creative process work?
Usually it starts with the image, from there I choose my papers and then and only then do I begin to colour.  Once I have those three things in order my project usually falls into place quite easily.  Well most of the time :)  The only time I have real difficulty is when I try new techniques or the dreaded CAS cards.  Why oh why do I have so much trouble with the placement on these cards? yet see so many beautiful pieces of work both here in blog land and on Pinterest.
So, enough of my waffle.  I now need to nominate fellow crafter to carry on the Hop
Myself and Joey go back a long way so she is it!!.   Over the years we have been on a few design teams together and her work is always inspiring me.
Well, that’s it from me, hopefully you have enjoyed my Creative Blog Hop and that you finding out a bit more about me and my creative style!
Thanks for popping by
