Lonely, or just shy?

Hey girls
We've a new kid on the block at Totally Papercrafts.  A lovely new teamie, Marion.  I hope you'll all pop by her blog and say hello.  Her cards are sooperdooper so you'll find loads of inspiration for sure.
Now, for our challenge this week our hostest with the mostest Caroline would like to see..........

PAPER PIECING
and we're sponsored by
the lucky winner will receive 5 digital stamps

So, here's me effort for this week.  This gorgeous image is one of my all time favourites from Squigglefly.  She's called 'Lonely' but I think of her as shy lol.

The little I've coloured has been done with copics, papers are from Raspberry Road, sentiment was in my very full goodie bag from Sparkle n Sprinkle this month. Gems and ribbon are from me stash.
Now, what about this ribbon?  I seen a card over on Becca's blog using this technique and fell in love with it.  Luckily she has a tut on how it's done, a bit fiddly, only because it's small, but sooooooooooo worth it for the effect.

Morning girls
It's another nice easy challenge for you today over on Squigglefly. We'd love to see some doodling on your creations.

So, to be in with a chance of winning some great images, grab those pencils and pens and doodle a little. Remember to add a direct link to your card girls and not your blog so it's easy for the DT to leave you a comment:)
I'm not the best at doodling so I choose just to add a little around my main image, papers are K & Co Sparkly Sweet and the little brads are from my stash
challenges:-
Stamptacular Sunday - spots and dots

It's time for another challenge on Squigglefly

Hi girls
Did you all have a good crafty weekend? I got a few bits and pieces sorted but they're for another day. Right now I want to tell you about the challenge this week on Squigglefly.
Nice and easy it is too. All we want to see this time is some flower embellishments!!!

Squigglefly have released a new product line that they are very excited about called 'Inside-Outs'
These sets contain everything you need to make a card from, well, the inside out! Typically, they will contain two images and two sentiments, one of each to be used on the inside of the card, and one of each to be used on the outside of the card. It's everything you need to make a complete creation in one package!

How cool is that, plus there's an extra chance to win one of these great sets for free. All you need to do is create a project, show it on your blog and link back to this post for the chance to win. So that's two challenges is one this time around.
challenges for this one:-

Monday, 15 March 2010

Show us your shiney embellies

It's Monday already and that means it's time for another challenge on Squigglefly:)
Hopefully your all rested after the weekend and ready for some crafty fun but before I tell you about the challenge I've some news too.
The team over on Squigglefy posted over the weekend that if the blog reached 225 followers they would give everyone a special discount. Well we smashed it!!!

so you get a discount

I'LL BET YOU DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD BE 25% THOUGH

Just enter the code follower in the Discount Code box on the image detail page on squigglefly.com.

Enjoy the discount code through the end of March. Code will expire on April 1, 2010.

Now onto the challenge. Maria has set a nice easy challenge this time. Use any Squigglefly image and show us some nice shiny embellishments! Now it doesn't come much easier than that does it? So..............

This is another image by Cheryl Alger. I love her style of drawing and the images are always a dream to colour. As usual I've used my copic markers, paper is Doodlebug and the lovely little ladybird charm that you can hardly see in the pic and a couple of shiny eyelets completed the card.
I'm also entering this into the following challenges

The Secret Crafter - open theme this week in celebration of their new stamps
Paper Cutz who also have an open themed challenge this week
Creative Inspirations - charms

Lonely - just for fun

Good morning girls
I've finally had time to play and make a card just for fun:) This is 'Lonely' another one of Cheryl Alger's gorgeous images for Squigglefly. Although why she named her Lonely I've no idea as I don't think she looks at all lonely standing there all pretty hiding the little flower behind her.

I coloured her with my usual copics, papers are DCWV, ribbon, snaps and pearls are from my stash.
I'm also entering this one into the following challenges

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - use your punches

Good morning girls
It's challenge time over on Squigglefly and this time we'd love to see your 'clean and simple creations including the colour blue.
Except, guess who forgot the colour bit!!! Yes, my face is red, the second card I've made since I've joined the DT and I got it wrong.

As I only noticed this yesterday there was no way I'd time to make another card so apologies but I did get the clean and simple bit lol
This is Valentine Girl, she is part of the new release from Saturday and she's a real cutie, just look at that cheeky grin:) No DP's on this card girls, just plain white card stock, another piece of the same which I ran through the cuttlebug using the hearts folder and the sentiment again with plain card cut with the cricut and finished off with some gorgeous flat backed hearts.
We'd love it if you played along with us. Just make sure you use a Squigglefly image on your creation and add your name to Mr Linky. Oh and don't forget the blue

My first DT creation for Squigglefly - challenge 31

Good morning girlies:)
Here it is, my first DT creation for Squigglefly. There's a brand spanking new challenge today and although I'm part of the team for the next challenge there was no way I wasn't playing along with this one too:) Keen as mustard me lol

Introducing Ragtime Reader by artist Cheryl Alger. Isn't she just adorable?

For this challenge we'd love you to make anything 'except' a card.

I was a bit stumped with this as I really didn't want to alter anything then my blogging buddy Joanne opened a new blog for spreading the crafty love around and I knew then exactly what I wanted to do. If you've not been over to Pay It Forward Crafting Style yet then please pop over for a visit real soon. I've been thinking for a long time now that I should perhaps do a candy draw but since the opening of this blog I will try to spread the crafty love this way. So it may be a little handmade gift of a small crafty present in the RAK . Watch for the postie it just might be you (smile)
So, that's my project, a little wallet that holds twelve images all ready to colour
The papers are DCWV Citrus Stack, ribbon and metal charm are from my stash.
I'm also entering this into the following challenges

1. Cute Card Thursday - all new (a nice new image from Squigglefly)
2. Paperplay - precious metal
Papertake Weekly - new beginings
3. KaboodleDoodle - anything but a card

Thankyou and a sneaky peek

Happy New Year Girls
I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for making my first months of blogging such a fantastic experience and of course to show of one of the new digi's which will be available from tomorrow from Squigglefly

I adore sun flowers!!! They're such big, bright cheery flowers that they never fail to lift my spirits so I couldn't wait to play with this beauty.
I started by printing straight onto some pearlised card stock, added the greeting along the stem then coloured it with my copics. I printed a further three times, twice onto some yellow DP's from a bygone age and once onto a piece of gold paper which I then ran through the cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder, a little brown ink in places then some careful paper piecing gave me my finished card. I've purposely left this 'less is more' and I think it's worked. My opinion girls but I'm sticking to it lol and of course there are the obligatory challenges!!!

1. Fussy & Fancy - something new to celebrate their new challenge blog
2. C R A F T - Thank you
3. Magical Crafts - Thank you
4. Pile it On - anything digi
