just a card

Morning girls
40 days till the man in the red suit arrives!!  Just thought I'd share that with ya lol
Have you started your shopping yet?  I've been good and got quite a few presents sorted already:) I hate fighting my way through the shops when they get busy so over the next couple of weeks I hope to get everything in and wrapped.  Then it's just the dreaded food shop.
Anyway, are re you all rested after your weekend?  Hopefully you found some time to get some crafting in.
Again, trying to be organised I made this for my daughter to give to my son for his 30th in January.  Jings that makes me feel OLD!!!  I still think I'm 21 lol

The image is from Teddy Bo which I've coloured with copics.  Stripey papers are Doodlebug and the other one, well your guess is as good as mine, it was in me scrap box..  Sentiment was PC generated and I coloured a couple of dew drops with my copics to embellish.
Right, time to get me bum in gear and face the day
Thanks for popping in

Welcome to Karen's Doodles Christmas blog hop

Morning girls
Fingers, toes and eyes are firmly crossed as I type this.  I'll still be in Turkey so am praying Mr Blogger plays ball and posts this on time for me.  If your here and reading then all is well:)

Welcome to Karen's Doodles Christmas blog hop.  Today the Doodle Princesses are bringing you all of Karen's fantabulous new Christmas digi images.  A treat awaits you all:)

Some lucky blogger will have the chance to win the whole collection

This is Christmas Tree.  How cool is this?  I loved it as soon as I saw it.
I decided to make an easel card for a wee change too.  It seems ages since I've made one.
Papers are Doodlebug, embellies are cut with my cricut., image is coloured as usual with copic markers, loads of stickles and some white flock to his hat. A few wee gems on the garland finished it off.

A side view

If you'd like the chance to win this image then play along with Karen's Doodles challenge this week which is to make a Christmas card using one of Karen's images.  It doesn't need to be one of the latest releases but it MUST be one of hers then come back here and add your name to Mr Linky at the end of this post.
I'll announce the winner here and on the challenge blog next week.

Now for the info
You should have arrived here from the challenge blog.  If your stopping by here first then you'll need to go back as all the Doodle Princesses and the challenge blog have a letter for you to collect so you need that first one to start you off.
My letter is D
Next on the list is the lovely Elaine, so hop on over to see her fabulous card.
Don't forget your letter before you go girls as you'll need it to complete the word to be in with a chance to win the entire collection.
Happy Hopping
Anne x

mirror mirror in my hand

who's the fairest in the land?
I was having a little snoop at the images over on The Paper Shelter the other day and this little cutie and a few others just happened to fall into me basket.
Sorry I've not been around to visit this week girls but I have commissions coming out of my ears.  I can go for a week or two with no one wanting anything then all of a sudden the phone rings off the hook. It's one of those weeks, so I'm a busy little beaver.

Cute as a button isn't she?  I've coloured her up with copics, papers are Doodlebug, lace, button and beads are all from me stash.
Thanks for popping in:)

can you catch a butterfly?

Morning girls
Monday as rolled around again so that means it's time for a brand new challenge over on Karen's Doodles. Are you ready to play along?  This week our challenge is.....
 SPRINGTIME
It sure doesn't feel like spring here though.  We've had more of the dreaded white stuff  over the weekend so I'm more than ready for some sunshine but it doesn't look like we'll be getting some any time soon.
Anyway onto me card for this week

Now, can you get any more springtime than this little beauty?  Isn't she just adorable?
I've kept this one plain and simple as the papers from Doodlebug are busy as is the image which I've coloured with copics.  Just a lacey border with a Martha Stewart punch and a couple of buttons.
So, there's me effort, don't forget to drop by my teamies for more gorgeous creations to help get those creative juices flowing:)

I've kept this one pretty simple, coloured this cutie paptootie with copic markers and a bit of glitter here and there for some added sparkle.  Papers are Doodlbug which have been laying in me stash since the year dot.  Punched Martha Stewart border to which I added some paper ribbon that I recycled from a Christmas gift and finished off with a couple of brads.  Job done!!

Also today Karen will be releasing some fab new valentine images, well we like to work ahead don't we AND as it's one year since she entered the blogging commumity with her fabulous images she's having an anniversary sale. Wooooooooooohooooooooooo go grab yourself a bargain girls
Now for this weeks challenge. Seeing as everyone is so busy with their Christmas preparations this week on Karen's Doodles our challenge is

ANYTHING GOES

I decided to use one of Karen's Christmas images but for a birthday card. I wanted to show you just how versatile this can be. Christmas morning girl looks just as lovely in a birthday setting don't you think? I've coloured her with copic markers, added some stickles to her dolls dress frills and some gorgeous Bubblegum semi translucent glitter to her collar and cuffs, available from Sparkle N Sprinkle. Papers are a mix of Doodlebug and My Minds Eye. I made the sentiment on the pc, gems and ribbon are from me stash.
So, nice and easy this week girls. I do hope you'll find the time to play along:)
Merry Christmas from me and my teamies on Karen's Doodles challenges:)

snow much fun

Good morning girls
I'm so sick of all this bleeding white stuff and yet here I am making another card full of it. They do say it should be kept for the Christmas cards though:) How I wish that's the only time we see it.
Anyway, enough of the moaning. No point is there as we can't fight nature so let me tell you about the theme for our challenge this week on Totally Papercrafts

Christmas Punches
Our sponsor is

click on the pic to take you there

I've used an image from Karen's Doodles coloured with copics and loads of glitter although that's not showing too well in the pic. I cut the snowflakes with my cricut and added them with some white brads from me stash. I think the papers are Doodlebug, I'd cut into them before I took note of the name. All finished of with a wee ribbon bow.

So a nice simple of for you this week girls, I do hope you'll play along and don't forget to visit my lovely teamies for some more inspiration:)

Hang up your stockings

Morning girls
Another weekend over, another one nearer Christmas and at last one of my own Christmas cards out of the way.
This week over on Karen's Doodles we've a smashing challenge, not an easy one but a good one all the same and I do hope you'll play along with us. The other girls on the team have created some fabulous projects so don't forget to pop over for some eye candy:)

USE MORE THAN ONE IMAGE

So, where did I start with this one. First off I loaded the fireplace and stockings into my graphics programme, then imported the candles and lastly Santa himself. All in all there are six images on this little scene. I then coloured with my copic markers, some gorgeous white flock from Sparkle & Sprinkle and of course the obligatory glitter that we need to make our Christmas cards sparkle. Papers are a mix of older Doodlebug and DCWV that I'd left in me stash since the year dot and I finished off with some ribbon, a couple of buttons and a wee pair of stockings which I cut with my cricut.
Thanks for stopping by, I do hope you play along:)

overhead kick

Morning girls
I was asked to make three cards for girls who are retiring from football at the end of this season. Three girlies footie images. They don't want much do they? (grin) Anyway I'd one done then Mo Manning released this little beauty. So, as quick as I could get her downloaded I'd her all coloured in the team colours with my copics. She's a smasher isn't she?

Papers are Doodlebug, think they're Halloween lol but I've had them since the year dot so am not sure. Only a wee bit of ribbon and a couple of gems for embellies as I thought the colours were loud enough, anything more would probably get lost in the card.

Bling It On

Morning girls
Another weekend is upon us and another week closer to Christmas. I'm trying not to think about it lol
Anyway Friday is the day we have a brand new challenge over on Totally Papercrafts and it's the lovely Mel who got to set the theme for us and she want to see some bling on your creations.

BLING IT ON

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh and wait till you see the gorgeous stamp she's chosen
for you from our sponsor this week

I wish I could enter myself!!! Isn't this just the bees knees, I love it:)

So, here's my contribution for this week. I've not used this one for ages. It's from Clarity Stamps and she is an absolute dream to colour. As usual I've used my copic markers, highlighted here and there with a touch of prisma pencils for a bit more depth of colour. I'm still a bit wary of the blacks lol. Papers are from Doodlebug, a 12x12 sheet that's been laying in my stash since the year dot. I've kept the layout pretty simple, I pleated up some ribbon, punched some flowers to which I added some dew drops (coloured with copics to match) and a few bits of bling to finish off.
So, who want to win that gorgeous stamp? I'll look forward to seeing your take on the theme this week. Happy crafting, have a great weekend girls

The Crazy Challenge

Good afternoon girls
Me again with news the theme for this week over on The Crazy Challenge. Thanks to everyone who played along last week, there sure are some very talented cardmakers out there in blogland.
Anyway, less waffling from me and onto the theme and my card.

'Friends Forever'

Check out these best buds!! Cute as buttons!!. Arabella is our sponsor for this week and she has given us some cuties to play with. She's got loads more over in her Etsy shop so why not pop over and have a little looksee for yourself.
So, what did I do, not alot lol This is a plain one even for me. I coloured with my usual copic markers, papers are scraps of Doodlebug I'd left in me box. I then ran some more scraps of green pearlised card throug the cuttlbug, punched another length with my Martha Stewart doiley and hey presto - a card!!

challenges
Paper Romance - clean & simple
Paper Pretties - brads or eyelets

Thanks for dropping by. I'll look forward to seeing your creations:)

raindrops keep falling on my head

Good morning girls
Another weekend over and I'm pleased to say it was quite a pleasant one here. Not wall to wall sunshine but nice enough to get out and about.
It's also time for our new challenge over on Karen's Doodles. I'm hoping you all like this challenge a bit more than our bookmarks one from last week:( but we can't get it right all of the time can we? So this week our theme is
PRETTY IN PINK
Now before I show you my card let me tell you how stupid I've been. I'd a card, notice the a card, not thee card all ready early on in the week. Last night I though I'd better get me bum in gear and get this post sorted and my card uploaded for the challenge. Only to discover that I'd used the wrong challenge. I'd only gone and made the card for next week. By sheer luck I'd coloured another image in pink. So, there was me gone 8pm throwing, yes throwing this one together and rushing to get a pic in the twilight. So forgive the rushed card and the dark pic!!

See what I mean. At least now I can almost smile but last night I wanted to scream!!! Anyway, papers are from Doodlebug, and this little cutie whom I've coloured as usual with my copic markers is called 'Rainy Day', you'll find this one and loads more over at Karen's store.
I've distressed the papers by pulling the edge of my scissors along the edges - I resisted temptation to slit me wrists with them lol Then added some ink too for good measure. So there you have it girls, an nice easy one for you this week. I do hope you'll play along:)

challenges:
The Secret Crafter - clean and simple
Stamptacular Sunday - distress it
Aly's Sunday Challenge - pretty in pink
Charisma Cardz - inspired by a song (raindrops keep falling on my head)

blame it on the boogie

Good morning girls
Hope you all had a great weekend. We'd actually a bit of sunshine:) I was begining to think we'd had our summer for this year. Anyway, now that your all refreshed it's time for a colour
challenge over on Karen's Doodles as chosen by my lovely teamie Joey. Are you ready for this one?
Summer Zest - Yellow, Orange, Lime Green and a Splash of Blue

She sure can pick them can Joey but I got there in the end!! Only joking, I actually quite enjoyed making this one. Since it was to be really bright colours I decided to keep the DP's to the minimum, one sheet from doodlebug is all that's on this one. This groovy diva is Dance Fever Lady 1 There's another skinny chick here but if your gonna shake your bootee you need something to shake don't ya?
The band across the middle and the tag have been run through the cuttlebug using the allegro folder in keeping with the musical theme and a couple of wee buttons and some ribbon to finished it off.
So there ya go. Who's playing along?

Don't forget you can enter your cards onto our Doodle Divas gallery here for a chance to win even more images. Don't forget to read the rules though girls

challenges
Friday Sketchers - sketch
Simon Says - Sing It Baby (blame it on the boogie)
Craft Your Days Away - favourite things (mine has to be ribbon)

hitching a ride

Morning girls
Hope your all having a lovely weekend. It's warm here already this morning but no sun:( I'll keep my fingers crossed for some later in the afternoon so we can sit outside for a while. It seems like forever since we've been able to make use of the garden.
Enough of the waffle though and onto me card . I'm playing along with Paula's freebie challenges over on Pollycraft, this is my second card. Once your linked up you email your choice of the third image and so it goes on. So here it is

Isn't this just too cute? I've coloured with prisma pencils and blended with mineral spirits, just for a change from the copics. The papers are a mix of Doodlebug and K & Co, finished off with a couple of brads from me stash. So there you have it.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the remainder of your weekend

Pollycraft - flash those freebies

It's also time for another sketch challenge with us over at Delightful Sketches & Challenges

and we've a fabulous sponsor too

Meet Bumble Bee Larry. How cute is this little fella? I've coloured him with my usual copic markers and added a little stickles to his wings just for some added sparkle. I cut the flower with my cricut, run it through my cuttlebug and used that instead of the usual plain backing, seems to work lol The papers are Doodlebug and the other bits and bobs are from me stash.
There you have it girls, I'll look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations soon:)

ABC - weather (I'm hoping this fits for summer)
All That Scraps - buttons and ribbons

It's Delightful Thursday so pull out your punches

Morning girls
Over on Delightful Sketches and Challenges this week we'd love to see your creations using your punches.

Please excuse my poorly embellished card:( We've decided to sell our house and buy a nice new town house. So, because the estate agent was coming yesterday to take some pics I've had to pull my little craft room apart and put a bed etc back in the room. My poor bits and bobs are everywhere and ofcourse my embellies have done a runner lol. So that's my job for today, get it sorted so I can continue to craft a little while we wait for a buyer.
Papers are Doodlebug and a piece of lovely shimmery turquoise paper, the name escapes me at the moment (am not doing to well am I lol) Two eyelets, only because I'd the image already coloured with my copic markers and mounted, finished off with a bit of red ribbon for good measure.
Jings I've waffled on this morning:( Anyway we're sponsored this fortnight by the fantastic Simon Says Stamp and the prize is a $20 gift cert to spend in their store!!

Photobucket

and I do hope you'll play along and of course visit the other girls on the team to see their wonderful punched cards.

Now onto the challenge. Maria has set a nice easy challenge this time. Use any Squigglefly image and show us some nice shiny embellishments! Now it doesn't come much easier than that does it? So..............

Nursery is all over

Good evening girlies
Sorry about the late post but I've been busy, busy trying to get this card finished for tomorrow for delivery. I'd even to scan my card as no matter what setting I used on my camera the pics were terrible - not that I'm the best with photos anyway lol
So, onto the card itself. The papers are Doodlebug, image is from Dustin Pike coloured with prismas and the other bits and bobs are from my stash. I've covered five challenges with this one, four for blogs and one for a forum so rather chuffed with myself lol

1. C.R.A.F.T. - pink and green
2. Papertake Weekly - your choice of colours
3. Hobbycrafters - pink and green
4. Our Creative Corner - 3 different embellishments
5. Paper Cutz - pink and green
