This is 'All Wrapped Up' Isn't she adorable.  I've coloured her using copic markers and although it's not showing on the pic there is a little glamour dust sprinkled over her dress.  You'll just need to use your imagination lol

The papers are also available from the shop and can I just say that they print out beautifully, I promise you won't be disappointed with the quality of these.

Morning Everyone

I'm slowly but surely getting on top of things here in the craft room.  There is light at the end of that there tunnel.

I've got some news too.  Very nice news infact.

I'd an email yesterday from Shirley inviting me to be part of her team on the

Paper Shelter.  Of course I said a very big YES!!  I did want to try out for this team when they last had a DT call but missed the deadline so I'm delighted to now be a part of it all.  I won't offcially start until January but I will fill before hand if there's anyone on the team who can't manage their commitment now and again.

So onto today's card.  This is very different for me, no colouring!!  Hubby came home from work last week with an order for a wedding card but it had to be plain as the bride does not do fussy.  EEEEEK!!  Anyway, after trawling though pinterest this is what I came up with.

Well, I thought this little image didn't need any to be honest so I embossed a couple of panels of white card and left it at that.  A couple of snowflakes and the job was done.  I'm fair liking these CAS cards, so quick and easy to put together:)

Hi everyone

Hope your all fine and dandy this wet autumn day.  Me thinks winter is just around the corner as there's a right nip in the air too and we have had a bit of frost in the mornings.  EEEEEEEk I hate the cold!!!

Anyway todays card is for one of my regular customers.  One of her friends, a young girl, is fighting uterine cancer and will celebrate a year free later this month with a party.  Now is that a fighting spirit or what?

My first thoughts were Krista's ribbon images but she wanted the image to have long flowing blonde hair so as they both have short hair I went with this lovely lady instead.  

Did you know there are different coloured ribbons for different cancers?  I'm ashamed to say I didn't but after visiting google and doing a bit of research it seems the colour for uterine cancer is peach, hence a peach card.

Gosh I can't believe we're at Thursday already and worse I've had not a thing to show on me blog all week.  I have been super busy though, just nothing that I can show you yet.

So, this is just a wee quickie that I put together last night.  Not my usual style either ut I'm so liking all these CAS cards that are around at the moment.  I'm just not too good with the placement but they do say practice makes perfect:)

Well that's the holiday over.  Two weeks gone by in an absolute flash!

We'd a brilliant time as usual, even the weather was kind to us.  October can be a little bit wet in Turkey but we'd only one day of rain and thirteen of wall to wall sunshine with temps of just over 25C.  Brilliant!!!

We had a little trek over the mountains from Kaya Koy to Fethyie.  A bit of a slog in places but the views were to die for.

I've had a do not disturb sign on me craft room door today.  I seem to be swamped all of a sudden and with going on me jollies next week I really need to get the desk cleared, DT work finished and commisions packed up ready to go.

That didn't stop me having a wee play though.  I was inspired by the Less Is More challenge this morning.  I don't usually play along with this as I'm rubbish at CAS but I liked the theme plus I've some new Christmas dies to play with.

So here is my take on the WHITE ON WHITE CHRISTMAS.

I cut the dies, embossed the bauble part and added a sentiment.  Then I faffed around for ever with the layout.  Yip, that's what get's me every time with CAS, I just never seem to get the placement quite right.  All in all though I'm quite pleased with how it eventually turned out.

I don't know what happened to our heatwave I'm positively freezing!!

My wee tootsies are like blocks of bleedin' ice.  Roll on October when I get two weeks of (hopefully) warmer temperatures in our little haven in Turkey.

Anyway today's card is one I've just finished for a customer. The deets were, dogs, cute and colourful.

I think this fits the bill :)  

Krista's images always seem 'so right' for any girlie cards don't they?

And what about those papers, another set from Lidl, watch out for these if they come in again girls.  They are fabulous quality, 250gms  and some of the best I've worked with, honest!!!  The tademark is Crelando but on googling it it all comes back to Lidl so I can't find any more:(

some good news for a change

As most of you ladies who follow my blog know I resigned from all of my DT's a month or two ago.  Well I'm now able to say that I've been accepted onto a new team and am absolutely thrilled.

Wendy is a textile designer to trade and has just started out in the digital stamp world but when you see all the cuteness she creates I'm sure you'll be hooked.

I don't know about you but we've had wall to wall sunshine here today.  A wee bit windy but nice enough to sit in the garden and do a bit of colouring.  It's been a long time since that happened in September:)

Anyway today's card is for one of the ladies that works with hubby.  Unfortunately she was not one of the lucky ones, has been made redundant and finishes on Friday which is also her birthday.  Imagine trying to celebrate knowing your income is gone!!  So, since she's also a great customer of mine I've made her a card, hopefully it'll cheer her up a wee bit.

Hi girls

Are you all set for the X Factor tonight then?  I am, the vino is chilling, dinner is almost done and the choccies are at the ready.  Sorted!!!

I'm not a great telly fan to be honest but I do enjoy the X Factor, even more so now that Sharon is back.  She's hysterical and I can't wait to see how Gary Barlow reacts to her antics.

Remember me?

I can't believe it's been over a month since I posted. 

I won't go into details but suffice to say

life as we knew it was threatened by redundancy and I just threw a wobbler lol

All is well now though and I'm raring to go.    I've still been making my cards, commissions only, but I just couldn't do the deadlines being on a design team involved.  I may even try out for a design team or two in the near future.

I've finally made a card!!  Am still not crafting as much but made this one for a friend to give to her neice.  Hopefully Mr Mojo will appear real soon and I'll get those copics working properly again.

I've not a clue where the papers are from as they were scraps from my box, the numbers and flowers were cut with my ciricut.  Yip, I even fired up a machine lol.
