Happy Monday girls:)
Did you all have a great crafty weekend?  I've been up to my eyes in DT work since Thursday and am just about done in.  Why oh why do we do it to ourselves lol

It's my turn to post over on the Inky Inspirational blog  today and I've a little lads card to show you.  My cousins little one is two tomorrow so this is a card i made for my Mum to give him.
This is Nicolas Firefly Frenzy.  I must say I think he's my favourite of all Nicole's images.  I just love his cheeky wee face:)

I've coloured him up with copics and have added a wee tut on the Inspiration Blog on how I darken down my red tones if your interested.
Papers are from Safrass Lass and I made the sentiment on the pc.
So, there's my effort for today girls, don't forget that you can buy Nicolas and loads of other cuties, charms and lovely flat backed pearls over at the Inky store

It's my turn to post over on the Inky Inspirational blog and I've a little lads card to show you today.
This is Nicolas Firefly Frenzy.   Who doesn't know a cheeky beggar like this?  I well remember my son bringing home all sorts of creepy crawlies YUK!!!

I must say though I think he's adorable!!!
As always I've used my copic markers to colour.  The sentiment is also available from the Inky store and the papers are some I've had in me stash for an age by Safrass Lass.
So, that's my little bit of inspiration for you this morning girls.  Now I just need to get myself out of holiday mode and patiently wait till our next visit to Turkey in September.

back to school

Morning girls
Friday already so time for a new challenge from us Totally Papercrafts girlies and it's hosted this
week by the lovely Caroline, her theme is ...

BACK TO SCHOOL

sponsored by

and these goodies from Simon Says too

We're also saying cheerio to one of our lovely team:(
Carol has decided to step down, I'm not alone in saying she has been a great asset to
Totally Papercrafts and all us girls are sure going to miss her.

So, onto my little project for this week.  I actually made this a week or two ago as the little girl next door was starting school.  We go back a couple of weeks earlier here in Scotland.
The box was recycled, it once held some big fabric flowers but with a few strips of paper from Safrass Lass and some nice new colouring pencils it was transformed into a cute little box.  The bookmark was made from the same papers and strengthened with some red card stock.

So, that's my effort for this week girls.  Hopefully you'll find the time to play along.
Thanks for stopping by and have a smashing weekend.

Summer Fun

Morning girls
It's time for a new challenge on Karen's Doodles and this week our theme is

SUMMER FUN

I started by cutting our the shapes with my nesties to make a shaped easerl card.  It's alot smaller than I would normally make but I'm pleased with it.  This is 'On The Road Again', one of Karen's new summer images.  Isn't it fab!!!  You'll find this and some other new ones over at her store
I've coloured with my usual copic markers apart from the sky which I did with prisma pencils
and blended with mineral spirits. The papers are from Safrass Lass.
I cut a  few flowers with my cricut to help it stand and left it at that.  I did look at adding some embellies but it did nothing for the card so in the end I left them off.
That's my effort for this week girls.  Do pop over and see the wonderful cards the other girls on the DT have created this week and don't forget our DT call is running until 20th July.

challenges:
Dream Valley - summer
2 Sisters - summer fun
Craft Your Days Away - fancy folds

Quick and simple really. Did I say me mojo has gone on holiday already???

Back to school Bookmarks challenge

Helloooooooooooooooooooo
Happy Monday to you all. Hopefully you've all had a great weekend and are ready to get stuck into some crafting.
We've a smashing challenge for you this week on Karen's Doodles chosen by the lovely Joey.

bookmarks

I decided against a card, so made this cute little bookmark. Isn't this little fella just the cutest bookworm you've ever seen! He's called Reading is Fun This and many more fantastic images are available from Karen's web store, pop over and have a look as new images are being added weekly.

I started with these lovely papers from Safrass, Apple Jack selection, they were the inspiration for the whole things. It's not showing too well in the pic but there is script of sorts on the top paper and I thought of the lined notebooks from my schooldays with the bottom ones. I coloured as usual with my copic markers, added a couple of letter which I cut with my cricut and then ran the whole thing through my laminater. All that was left to do was punch a whole and add a wee bit of coloured twine. Sorted!!!
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to play along

Twisted Thursday - back to school
Charisma Cardz - hot hot hot (colours)
