Morning girls

It's wet, windy and wild in my neck of the woods again.  There seems to be no let up with this horrid weather at the moment, it's bleedin' depressing the life out of me!!!  Dark when we get up, not much better throughout the day and dark again by five o'clock.  I need some sunshine to brighten me day:(  Does anyone else feel like this?  Or is it just me?

Anyway, I thought I'd play along with the challenge over on Less Is More this week.  I love CAS cards but am not  at all good at them so my aim is to try and join the fun as often as I can and eventually get the hang of it properly.  Well a girl can try can't she?

Well Paris was fanbloodytastic!!!!!! I loved it, so did hubby. We really had a ball.  So much to see, I'm a big fan of cities and  Paris certainly didn't disappoint.  I only wish we'd gone before now but I will return SOON.

going digital today

Happy Friday girls
Short and quick this morning as we're off to Paris in a couple of hours!!!!  I'm mega excited as it's a city we've never visited.  The kiddywinks treated us to a weekend away to celebrate our birthdays.  Mine was December and hubby is February so they thought slap bang in the middle would be fair.  Can't wait, am almost in need of a tenna lady lol

So, onto me card which is for the new challenge starting this morning over on Polka Doodles.

This week we'd love to see some of your MONOCHROMATIC creations

 It's ages since I'd a wee play with my graphics programe so I made a digital card for this one. Nikky's CD's sure make light work of it.  There's just so much to choose from that it took me an age to decide what to use in the end I opted for 'In The Garden' from Studio 12 Picknix Collection 1

Not a lot more to tell really.  Layered it all up, fiddled with it, fiddled some more then printed it out and stuck it onto a card front.  I then added a little bit of stickles to some of the petals and the job was done.

I can't believe I've not had a card to show you all week.  I have been busy though, just not with anything I can show you yet.

I've also been trying something a little different today as far as my cards go.

There were some great sentiments from Raindrop Echo Designs in the January release from Whimsy  Digital Stamps  and although I've used a couple on me cards this is the first time I've put the copics down and made a card with no colouring for a long, long while.  All I did was print, ink the edges, roll some roses and cut it out:)

So what's the verdict?  I'm quite pleased with it but wish I'd added some embossing to the card blank for a wee bit of added texture.  I'll know the next time eh?

Well here we are at Friday already.  Christmas seems like an age away now doesn't it?  Anyone started their cards for next year yet?  lol  I've been working on some Valentine's ones one of which I have yo show you today.  Crafty Sentiment Designs have a couple of new digi's out so of course I had to have a little play plus a friend asked me to make one for her hubby so killed two birds with one stone:)

I'm hoping Mr Blogger plays nice this morning and posts this for me as no doubt I'll still be in the land of nod. .We are bringing in the bells at the Chop House Brasserie in Glasgow's Merchant Square hence this schedulled post.  So...

Have you made any resolutions yet?
 Mine is to stop buying papers.  I've slowly but surely been using up my stash so I can by digital from now on.  I'm needing the space in the craft room and there are so many fabby digital papers out there now that I don't think it'll be a hard one to keep to.  We'll see though eh?

Happy, happy Christmas Eve to you all

Well I can honestly say if it's not sorted now then it won't be.  

I have thrown the towel in, called it a day, had enough etc etc.   Tonight I'm going to sit with me feet up and enjoy a wine or three in front of the telly:)

I've hubby's Christmas card to show you tonight and a little confession.

I unashamedly cased this from me blogging buddy Caroline.  Oh yes I did!!

Right down to the sentiment.  I just loved her card and knew instantly that hubby would appreciate this so much more than something fussy and fancy.

Excuse the rubbish pic.  We're having almost no daylight here at the moment so trying to get a pic that is anywhere near decent is a night mare. You've no idea how many times I photographed this:(

three little...

Morning girls

Well that's us on the home straight now eh?  Four more sleeps till the fat man in the red suits drops down our chimneys:)  Will he have craft pressies for us I wonder?  

Are you all organised girls?  I am, well as much as I can be.  If it's not sorted now then it ain't getting sorted. I've had enough already and will be more than happy on 2nd January when we can all get back to some form of normality.  Oh yes, bah humbug and all that!!!

So, today sees the new challenge over on Polka Doodles begin.

It was chosen by the lovely Miria and she's given us a bit of a choice this week.

Make a New Year card, use 1, 2 or 3 of something or use the numbers 20 and 13

I've gone with three of something using the newest release from Nikky,  Cherry Blossom Lane

If you watch Create and Craft then you may have been lucky enough to see all of my teamies wonderful creations showcasing this new cd last Friday.  I'll show you mine sometime soon.  Guess who sent them all away without taking any pics?  Oh yes I did!!!  So I'm waiting for Nikky to send me some back lol

This was super quick to do.  I added the border to the paper in my graphics programe before printing it out.  Then printed the tree tags, mounted them and attached to the card using some WOC brads. Following on with the three of something I added three little dew drops to the bottom corner.

Don't forget girls that you don't need to buy a full CD now either.  Nikky has started to do some downloadables which lets you try out her gorgeous images and papers without buying the whole thing.
