catching butterflies

Morning girls
Sorry for the lack of visits this week but once again I'm up to my eyes in it.  We're going on holiday on Thursday for three weeks and am desperately trying to get all my DT cards done and scheduled.  Then there's the house to sort, fridge and freezer to fill for my daughter who will be home and one hundred and one other things to do.  Oh and maybe then I'll get the suitcases from the loft and packed to go lol

Today's card is for the new challenge on Crafty Sentiments Designs
Caz has been kind in her choices this week and has given you two options.
One is to do as I have and use 'black, white and one other colour' or 'Something Fishy'

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm marshmallows

Morning girls

It's dark, dismal and wet here in Glasgow.  I think we've had our summer:(  Mr Sunshine has most definitely not got his hat on, a mac and brolly would be more appropriate, oh and some wellies too.  It depresses the life out of me, I hate dank, dark days but what can you do eh?
Anyway, being Friday it's time for a new challenge over on Totally Papercrafts.

FOOD and DRINK

and it's time for our monthly sponsorship from Meljen's Designs too

the lucky winner will get to choose 4 of their fab digi images

So, another Christmas card for me box is made as I just loved this image.  I could quite happily have a few sips of that creamy hot chocolate right now:)
I've coloured as usual with copics, the papers I think are Imaginisce, they're left overs from last year so am being a good little crafter and using up me stash too:)  Sentiment is from Sparkle n Sprinkle and the brads are also left overs from last years Christmas bits and bobs.
So that's my effort for this week girls, do pop by my teamies for some gorgeous eye candy and bucket loads of inspiration, oh, and remember to play along too:)
Thanks for dropping in,have a smashing weekend

Hippity Hop

Morning Girls
Monday has rolled around again so it's time for a new challenge with me and me lovely teamies over on Karen's Doodles challenge blog.
It's all about EASTER this week so, if you've not started on your cards yet, now is as good a time as any.  I do hope you'll find the time to play along.

I decided against a card and instead have made a little wall hanging from a beer felt.  I started by covering the front with these gorgeous Easter paper from Imaginisce, I'd inked the edges before hand for a bit of depth, then added the lace and ribbon around edge before covering the back with the same papers.  It was then time to decorate it so I opted for the ultra cute Bunny Egg which I coloured with copics.  I then cut the sentiment and little eggs with my cricut, again adding some ink around the edges.  Job done!!!
Have you seen Karen's latest images?  Two gorgeous new baby ones and a beautiful Easter cross.  Watch out for some cards with these from myself and teamies real soon.  Or pop over to the store and have a look for yourself.
challenges:
Crafty Emma - die cut crazy
Colour Create - pastels
Stamp Something - spring
Creative Cowgirls - spring or Easter
Gingerloft - diecuts or punches

Thanks for stopping by Anne x

Morning girls
Today is oldies but goodies only over on Karen's Doodles and I thought I'd play along too this week.  It's not a challenge, just some of the DT showing some of Karen's older images which you may not have seen before.
I've gone with a Christmas card, I really am trying to get a few in me box each month so this was  as good an excuse any to keep to my resolution.  Have you kept yours? (lol)

This was my first ever Karen's Doodles image and I won it in a candy draw on her blog, way back at the begining and I love it as much now as I did then.  It's those little fellas singing there hearts out that get me lol, great stuff!!.  Coloured with copics and a little stickles, papers are Imaginice from the Cottage Christmas collection, gems from me stash.  I printed the sentiment straight onto my card before starting.  Funny, I used to do this all the time when I fist started making cards, then I started covering them all with DP's, as you do:) I'm lucky that me printer takes heavy weight card no problem, so I may be doing this some more, especially with Christmas cards as this was quick and easy to do.
Anyway, you've still time to join in the photo inspiration challenge we've running at the moment AND you don't need to use a KD image any longer, although if you don't you won't be entered into the draw for first place only second and third:)  So, no excuses not to play along lol

Just for you

Morning girls from a bright but very cold Glasgow.
At least we've had no more of the dreaded white stuff overnight which should make walking a little easier. How I've not gone head over heels with all the ice on our pavements is a miracle.
This card I'm showing you today is for me hubby. I've had this image from Kenny K coloured with my copics for weeks now but have only just got around to making the card. Just wish I looked like that lol but alas saggy and droopy bits are now the norm for me pmsl

Papers are from Imaginisce Cottage Christmas collection. I think these have been my favourites this year as they're so bright and vibrant although that's not showing through with all the distressing I've done on this one. Sentiment was pc generated and the gorgeous silver brads are WH Smiths own brand.
Thanks for dropping in, hope your all ready for Santa. If not, well who cares, he comes anyway:)
Merry Christmas girls:)

Christmas choir

Hi girls
After a damp start we've a wee bit of sunshine here in Glasgow this afternoon. It's still cold though but at least it's dry:)
I've been having a little play with one of the new Christmas images from Karen's Doodles. This is
Carolers, aren't they just the cutest giraffes? I love their happy faces:) They look like they're having a ball!!

I've coloured with my usual copic and a few bits of stickles here and there. Papers are from Imaginisce Cotttage Chrismas collection available from Crafty Emma's store. There's not much else to tell really, I've added a snowflake and a few brads to finish off.

All sewn up

Morning girls
Another weekend gone and a week closer to Christmas. I'm not in the spirit yet so I'm trying my best to get on with my cards to hopefully inspire me on a little but I'm afraid it's not working!!
Anyway, seeing as it's Monday that means we have another challenge for you over on Karen's Doodles. This is my last choice for you so I do hope you play along again this week.

ALL SEWN UP

wooohooooooooooo let's see some stitching on those cards girls. It can be faux or if your feeling like it get the machine out and have a little play. I've used Santa, (available from the Karen's Doodles store) coloured with copics, stickles and loads of diamond glaze to give his boots and belt a nice shine:) The DP's are from Imaginisce, aren't they lush? I love these:) The buttons brads and bows are from my stash.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A DOODLE DIVA

Then send any cards or other creations you've made using any of Karen's images to the lovely Chris for our Doodle Diva Gallery. It doesn't need to be for our challenge. As long as you've used one of Karen's images on your creation and your chosen as the featured Diva of that week you could win 2 images of your choice.

Stick a number on it -Totally Papercrafts

Happy Friday girls
Gosh it's bitter cold here this morning but dry so far. Winter is well and truly on it's way, the thermals will be coming out shortly the way the temperatures are dropping. How I wish I lived somewhere nice and warm:)
Anyway let's talk challenges. Friday means it's time for a challenge from me and me teamies over on Totally Papercrafts. It was the lovely Joey's turn to choose and as it's her birthday very soon she wants you to
STICK A NUMBER ON IT

we've a smashing sponsor for you this week too

click image to take you there

and the lucky winner gets to choose

Silly old me had my card all made up before I discovered that we'd been given some smashing digi's to play with so apologies to the girls over at Bugaboo for my little mistook!!!

The reason for my haste was I was desperate to ink up this little fella. Cute as a button isn't he? I was lucky enough to win this cutie from a candy over on Kath's blog. He's by Blue Moon rubbers stamps available over on Stampers Supermarket. I think I'll be making a few more Christmas cards with him this year:)
I decided to paper piece his clothes with this gorgeous paper from Imaginisce, I'm a sucker for traditional reds and greens I'm afraid. The bits of the image you can see have been coloured with copics and a huge amount of stickles on the little lamb although it's not showing too well in the photo:(
So, who's game for the challenge? It's an easy peasy one girls so I'll look forward to visiting loads of you this week.

Jumping for Joy

Evening girls
It's been another cold day here in Glasgow so I stayed put in me craft room and got on with some DT work and had a little play just for fun too:)

I absolutely love these snowmen by Cheryl Alger. Have you been over for a look, none of your normal two snowball snowmen to be seen. They're all a bit mad, just like this one lol
This card has a right mish mash of bits on it too. Papers are Imaginisce, brads and ric rac are Papermania, the larger brads are Karen Foster and the flowers are prima.
What do you think of me sentiment? I've seen so many lovely stamps out there with the calendar on for Christmas but I got to thinking that I'd like it for birthdays or Easter etc too so I had a little play with my Greetings Card Factory and hey ho I made me own:) and I can change the months and greetings to suit. I've just given myself a massive big pat on the back cos no one else will lol

Morning Girls
I hope your all ready for some crafting as we've another brilliant challenge for you at Karen's Doodles UK. Thanks to everyone who played along with our 'Tag It' challenge last week. All your creations were all fab:)
Sadly, two of our lovely Doodle Princesses have decided to step down from our team. I'd like to thank Elaine and Catherine for all the beautiful cards they've produced for us and wish them both well in the future. You'll be missed girls:(

Now, I guess you'll want to know what the challenge is for this week, simples!!!!!

black, white and one other colour
you can of course also use 'skin tones' but that is all

I decided to use one of the new 'Teen Drivers' images. Very apt in this house as my daughter managed to write her car off last weekend. Thankfully she was fine and only suffered a little bit of whiplash. So, back onto my card, I've coloured with my usual copicmarkers and added a little Diamond Glaze over the headlights although that's not showing too clearly in the pic. Papers are from Imaginisce, brads were in my stash and the sentiment in computer generated. All finished off with a little faux stitching.
So, there you have it girls, I do hope you'll play along and thanks for stopping by

Finally!!! A card

Hi girls
I've finally managed a card, the first since I came home from me jollies:( I just can't seem to find me mojo, it must still be laying in the sun in Turkey.

I'd already coloured the image with my prisma pencils and blended the colours with some mineral spirits before I went. He's one of the May releases from Digital Delights. PC Peyton, isn't he a handsome little chappie? So right for any little boys cards, or even Father's Day.
Papers are a mix of imaginisce and DCWV, backed with some pearlised white card and the little embellies are cut with my cricut.
So there you have it girls, I'm off now for a little hop to see if I can find myself some inspiration

Pretty in Pink

Good afternoon girlies

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed this wonderful weather we've been having.
I've spent the greatest part of it in the garden hence no blogging or crafting done at all.
So it was back with a vengeance last night as I've a few orders needing done so though I'd follow a few challenges along the way.
This gorgeous stamped image was sent to me by me forum buddy Georgie, thanks mate.
She's stunning isn't she? In fact the whole set of them are. I can't remember who makes them but for anyone who's interested there is a post further back on me blog with the name. The papers are from Imagenence and everything else is from me ever growing stash.
Now for the challenges, I've managed three this time, clever blogger that I am lol

An Easter Stroll

Good morning girlies
I hope you've better weather this morning than we have here in Glasgow. The wind has howled all night, so bad at times it was rattling my letterbox (grrrrrrr)
Anyway, enough prattle. I made this little cutie last night and have covered four challenges with it. Aren't I a clever blogger lol
Sharon chose the theme this week on Charizma Cards. A nice easy one it is too, use your favourite bits and bobs on your card. Simple for me, am loving my prisma pencils at the moment and of course my beloved cricut to cut my backers.
Crafty Creations wants to see cute little bunnies for their challenge so this also ties in nicely with A Spoon Full of Sugar as this week it's all about Easter. Lastly G is for glitter over on the ABC challenge blog as I've glittered a couple of wee bits on the image plus there is some on the yummy papers from Imaginisce it fits in there too!
I'm not too sure where the image is from, I've loads of different ones I've received in swaps recently so if anyone can enlighten me I'd be well chuffed:)
hugs

One Card, Two Challenges

Good evening girls
I'm late posting tonight but I'd an order to get ready so thought I'd combine it with a couple of challenges out there in blogland.
The first one is Cute Card Thursday This week the challenge is Signs of Spring. I've used lovely spring coloured papers on this so am hoping it fits the bill:)
The second one is for Mojo Monday. What a fabby sketch to follow. It really is lovely and a nice change to all the square cards I've been making lately.
I've made an a5 card, covered the front with Imaginisce paper from the For Peeps Sake range (Hot Chicks) and Doodlebugs Cotton Candy Stripe. Matted and layered the image from grab-a-doodle-do onto blue then pink card stock and finished off with some ribbon and a couple of buttons.
Hugs
Anne x
